Privacy Policy

Village acquires and uses the personal information you provide to us or that we learn from your use of the Site as described in this Privacy Policy. Village also may collect information that is not personally identifiable when you interact with this Site. This may include browser name, the type of computer, and technical information such as the operating system or internet service provider used. The Site may use “cookies” to enhance your experience in using the site.

Village does not knowingly collect or solicit personal information from anyone under the age of 13. If you are under 13, you should not attempt to send information about yourself to us, including your name, address, telephone number, or email address. No one under age 13 may provide any personal information to or through our Site. If a child under 13 submits information through this Site without verification of parental consent, and we learn the person submitting the information is a child or that such consent has not been verified, we will attempt to delete the information as soon as possible.

3. Use of information

While you can view the Site without providing personally identifiable information, we may collect your personally identifiable information when you voluntarily provide it in the course of using the Site, including contacting us via the Site. Personal information collected by Village is used for the following purposes:

  1. Responding to your contact to Village made through the Site;
  2. Improving the Site and for internal business purposes; and
  3. Any other purpose incidental or related to the above.

4. Provision of information to third parties

[NOTE – the Policy must identify the types of third parties with whom PII is shared]

Village may engage service providers to host, operate or manage the Site, or to provide technical support. These third parties may have access to or process your personal information to the extent necessary to satisfy their contractual obligations to Village. Village may permit our authorized service providers to have access to aggregate statistics about use of our Site. Village or its authorized service providers may observe your activities, preferences and use of the Site (such as your IP address, location information, mobile platform, mobile device, browser type) relating to your use of the Site. While we may collect or log this information, we generally do not identify you or match this information with your other personal information. We may use this collected or logged information to diagnose technical problems with the Site, to facilitate your use of the Site, or to trace aggregate usage within or across the Site.

5. Other Uses or Transfers of Information

If Village should ever file for bankruptcy or merge with another company, or if Village should decide to buy, sell or reorganize some part or all of its business, Village may disclose your personally identifiable information to prospective or actual purchasers or receive personal information from sellers, and thereafter may sell, transfer or assign your personal information in connection with such transaction. Village will make reasonable efforts to seek appropriate protection for information disclosed or received in these types of transactions.

Village may be required to disclose your personal information if it: (1) believes it is reasonably necessary to comply with legal process (such as a court order, subpoena, search warrant, etc.) or other legal requirements of any government authority; (2) would potentially mitigate our liability in an actual or potential lawsuit; (3) is otherwise necessary to protect our rights or property; or (4) is necessary to protect the interest of other users of this Site.

Village is not responsible for the protection of personal information on other websites linked with this website.

7. Security

Protecting your information is of primary concern to us. We store the information that Village collects on secure servers and otherwise take reasonable precautions to protect your personal information. However, Village does not warrant or represent that our level of security meets or exceeds any specific standards. Internet transmission is neither 100% secure or error-free, nor stored data free from vulnerabilities. Village neither guarantees the security of our websites, databases or services, nor guarantee that the information you supply will not be intercepted while being transmitted to us over the Internet. Village is not responsible for the actions of third parties.

8. Changes to This Privacy Policy

Village reserves the right, in our sole discretion, to modify, alter or otherwise update this policy at any time and you agree to be bound by such modifications, alterations or updates. Village will notify you of material changes to this Privacy Policy by posting the revised policy with the date it was revised on this page. Your continued use (including access, browsing and/or use of any interactive feature) of our Site constitutes your agreement to this Privacy Policy and any updates. We encourage you to periodically review this Privacy Policy to stay informed about how we are protecting the Personal Information we collect.

9. “Do Not Track”

[NOTE – As of Jan. 1, 2014, California law requires that a Site disclose how it responds to “do not track” signals or other mechanisms that allow users the ability to exercise choice regarding collection of their information, and also disclose whether third parties may collect PII over time and across different web sites (i.e., whether third-party ad networks or analytics providers have been given access to the site). The following is one option, but Village should modify this to ensure that it is consistent with its practices.]

Although there is no universal tracking standard at this time, many browser companies have created “do not track” signals that are intended to work if a website agrees to honor the blocking request. If you use Microsoft’s Internet Explorer, Chrome, Mobile Chrome, Firefox, Opera or Safari as your browser, this Site honors your “Do Not Track” browser setting, so that neither Village nor third parties track page views, from and landing page views, file downloads and custom redirect clicks. To take advantage of this feature, you will need to be sure that your brower is defaulted to this privacy setting or that you have properly selected the setting on your browser. Village is not responsible for failures in the browser settings. If you use browsers other than those listed above, Village will attempt to honor “Do Not Track” browser settings, but cannot guarantee the effectiveness. Village does not allow ad networks or analytics providers to access or collect PII from this Site.
